Leon M. Ziglar, 78, of Anniston passed away at his residence on February 18, 2015. Mr. Ziglar was born in Andalusia, Ala. on May 6, 1936 and had been a resident of Anniston for 50 years. He was a graduate of Andalusia High School and Jacksonville State University and retired from the State Employment Office in Anniston. Mr. Ziglar was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Ziglar; his mother, Mattie Ziglar; brother, Kenneth Ziglar (Rachel). Mr. Ziglar is survived by his wife, Peggy Ziglar; sons, Leon M. Ziglar Jr. (Gina) and Toby Ziglar (Carrie); sisters, Emily Rhymes (Joe) and Gloria Cobb and grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, and Nathan Ziglar. Mr. Ziglar served in the United States Air Force. He was member of First Baptist Church McClellan. Mr. Ziglar donated his body to the Medical School at University of Alabama Birmingham. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church McClellan on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends before the service from noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church McClellan.
