Funeral service for Lester W. "Pops" Hayden, 90, will be 12 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Franklin McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hayden passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Carroll, of Anniston and Aletha Andrews, of Weaver; three sons, Johnny Hayden, of Saks, Jeffrey Stewart, of Montgomery and Kevin Stewart, of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Dorothy Mink, of South Bend, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Matthew Hayden, Joshua Hayden, Brian Hayden, Amy Hayden, Keira McKenzie Stewart, Austin Benefield and Charlotte Stewart; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hayden is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Stewart Hayden. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the World Wildlife Federation, www.worldwildlife.org. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hayden, Joshua Hayden, Austin Benefield, Austin Hicks and Wayne Parker. Mr. Hayden was a native of Lowell, Ind. and a resident of Weaver for the past 65 years.
