The funeral service for Mrs. Leverne Cobb Williams, 86, will be at 2 p.m. today, January 17, 2017 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel, in Golden Springs with Dr. Mack Amis officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams passed away on January 15, 2017 at NHC Healthcare. Mrs. Williams was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a very precious person to all who knew her. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, R. Harold Williams; her parents, Joe and Thelma Cobb; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elbert and Anna Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda (Jim) Garmon and Sabrina (Howard) Mosley; grandchildren, Amy G. (Keith) Stephens, Kelly G. (Nate) Harbin, Ashley M. (James) Marshall, Nicki M. Tucker, and Christopher (Rena) Mosley; great-grandchildren, Tyler Stephens, Anna Laura Stephens, Sydney Harbin, Laney Marshall, Jessa Marshall, Marley Tucker, and Cash Tucker, and a brother, Gerald (Eloise) Cobb. Pallbearers will be James Marshall, Keith Stephens, Nate Harbin, Randy Cobb, Elbert Finley, and Bill Gregg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Avenue, Anniston, AL 36201. The family would like to thank NHC Place Assisted Living, NHC Healthcare, and Alacare Hospice for the loving care they provided.
