Funeral service for Lewis Edward Porter, 70, will be on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donovan Thomas officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the New Mt. Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Porter passed away on February 17, 2015. A wake will be this evening at the Chapel 6 - 8 p.m. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a self employed brick mason and carpenter. His survivors include his siblings, Nellie Mae (Bennie) Fears, Anna Sanders, Clementine Porter, Lucille (Harold) Gilbert, all of Anniston, Robert Porter, of Riverside, Calif.; aunt, Christine Young, of Anniston; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cannah Sr. and Lela B. Young Porter; siblings, Irene Brockman, Alice Dawson, David Porter, Cannah Porter Jr., Charles D. Porter, and Oliver Porter.
