Lillian McDow Erler Prather, 1927 - 2014, made her transition on December 7, 2014, after a long illness. She was living in Houston, Texas with her daughters at the time of her death. After growing up in Anniston and then traveling extensively, she returned to Anniston in the late 80's. Mrs. Prather was a long-time member of the Daughters of the King at Grace Episcopal Church in Anniston and St. Stephens Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas. She also became a member of the Calhoun County Extension Club when she moved back to Anniston. Over the years, she served the club in many capacities. She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Erler, Deborah Brogi and Donna Young; grandchildren, Tracey Pendergrass, Dawn Brien, Sean Applewhite, Grayson Young and Travis Young; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alison and Nicole; sister, Francis McDow Cheatwood. She was preceded in death by spouses, Frank Charles Erler and Robert William Prather III; parents, Robert McDow and Alma Strickland McDow and her sister, Cleo McDow Thompson. Family to receive friends from 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1000 Leighton Ave Anniston, A.L. 36207 with funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. Internment to follow at Fort McClellan Cemetery, 1023 Fort McClellan Anniston, AL 36205.
