Mrs. Linda S. Bloomer passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at home in Colorado Springs, Colo. after a long illness. She was born on October 3, 1946 and grew up in Cleburne County. Survivors include her husband, Dalphus Lynn Bloomer; daughters, Daphne Michelle Mellott and Crystal L. Bloomer and her son-in-law Jack C. Mellott. Mrs. Bloomer had three grandchildren, Sean and Megan Mellott and Katie Bloomer. She is survived by two sisters Delorice Holbrook and Debbie Cole and two brothers Otis V. Sewell Jr. and Barry Sewell. Mrs. Bloomer was a nurse for 20 years and a secretary for 13 years at Anniston Army Depot. She retired in 2008. Funeral service will be held at Crumley's Chapel Church of God in Ranburne on August 9, 2014. Receiving of friends will start at 10 a.m. and the funeral will be at 11 a.m. There will not be a grave side service.
