Mrs. Linda Sue Walker, 70, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Cherokee Medical Center. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ricky Pollard and the Rev. Eugene Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers include Taylor Talbot, Roland Marshall, Daniel Singleton, Alan Singleton, Bobby Doeg, Gerald Rieger and Steve Smith. Survivors include her husband, Dicky Walker; sons, Roland Marshall, of Centre, Richard Walker, of Leesburg and Patrick (Genevieve) Walker, of Piedmont; daughter, Cheri Walker Crim, of Oxford; sister, Judy (Terry) Mixon, of Cropwell; 7 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Singleton. Mrs. Walker was a native of Calhoun County, the daughter of the late John Roy and Leathie Mae Gresham Morgan. She was a house wife and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or the family will accept flowers.
