Services for Lois "MeeMaw" Hinkle, 95, were Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Ledbetter officiating. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hinkle passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at her home. Survivors include children, Penny Vernon (Hank), Barry Hinkle (Sandra) and Kenneth Hinkle (Debbie) all of Piedmont; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Hinkle was a native and lifelong resident of the Roy Webb community and the oldest member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a sweet Christian lady who loved to cook and was known for her famous yeast rolls. No one ever left her house hungry. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
