Funeral service for Lola Dean Johnson Ginn, 76, will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Pastor Craig Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Springs Cemetery in Eastaboga. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Ginn passed away Monday at her home. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James Melvin Ginn; children Cheryl Stephens (Richard), Darryl Ginn (Robbie) and Lisa Franklin (Robert); grandchildren Rachae'l Ginn, Michael Stephens (Marisa), Hunter Ginn (Haley), Rachel Stephens, Marisa Franklin and Anna Franklin; sister, Ann Winn (George); numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ginn is preceded in death by her parents, Malvin "Mac" and Ruby Johnson; sister Norma Spurlin, and brother Cecil Johnson. Pallbearers will be Phillip Barrett, Howard Fulmer, Hunter Ginn, Terry Ginn, Josh Hughes and Michael Stephens. Mrs. Ginn was a native of Alexandria and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church for most of her life. She also served as a substitute teacher in Alexandria schools for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
