Funeral services for Lonnie Lee Wood, 78, will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Quintin P. Woods Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Wood's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his services. Mr. Wood passed on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at McGuffey Healthcare in Gadsden. Visitation will be Monday from 12 - 6 p.m. Mr. Wood served our country in the U.S. Army, he graduated from Ayers Trade School and Gadsden State Junior College. He retired from Anniston Ordinance Depot, he was an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, American Legion Post 312, Thomas A. Williams Elks Lodge #1668, Masonic Lodge #59 and the West Anniston Men's Social Club (WAMS). Survivors include his daughter, Linda Wood Duncan; sons, Lonnie B. Wood (Jami) and Ronny L. Wood; stepchildren, James Samuels, Constance Furks and Devondrick McKenzie; sister, Emma Baker and step-sister, Paulette Morse; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Lee Wood and Alberta Smith Wood and sister, Yvonne Wood Whitlow. Anniston Funeral Services "Where service begins and never ends." 256-236-0319
