Funeral service for Mrs. Luanne Roberts Young, 62, will be Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Ken Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Mrs. Young passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Anniston RMC. She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Buchanan Ponder, of Jacksonville and Emily (Clinton Maurice) Young Evans, of Oxford; one brother, Michael Lee Roberts, of Gadsden; four grandchildren, Reese Ponder, Zaelyn Evans, Raegan Chesnut, and Mabel Evans; her mother-in-law, Dora Mattox, of Jacksonville; one sister-in-law, Peggy Potter, of Jacksonville; one brother-in-law, Kenneth (Joan) Young, of Jacksonville; two nieces, Carolyn Marrs, of Gadsden and Becca (Ben) Hardy, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two nephews, Matt (Autumn) Young, of Auburn and Scott (Jennifer) Potter, of Huntsville; two great- nieces, Maylee and Lysie Marrs, of Gadsden; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a very close family friend, Bruce Buchanan, of Centre; her three four-legged babies, Malcom, Chino and Roxie. Pallbearers will be Greg Abel, Bruce Buchanan, Doug Ford, Raegan Chesnut, Zaelyn Evans, and Ben Hardy. Mrs. Young was a loving and devoted mother, Mimi, sister and friend. She was a selfless person, who had a passion for helping others. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. Mrs. Young will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.L. and Hazel Little and H.E. and Bertie Roberts; her parents, Edwin B. "Bill" Roberts and Mary Ann Little Roberts; her husband, Gregory Lynn Young and one nephew, Chris Young. 2 Timothy 4:6-7 (NIV) "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering and the time for my departure is near.
