Funeral service for Lucille Maxwell, 72, will be on Monday, October 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Roseline Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Micheal Billingsley officiating. Interment will follow in Simmons Cemetery in Millerville. Mrs. Maxwell passed away on October 7, 2015 at Clay County Hospital. Mrs. Maxwell's remains will arrive at the church two hour prior to her service. A wake will be this evening 5 - 7 p.m. at the chapel. She served as President of Missionary, Janitor of the church, a Matron, she retired from USDA in March 2015 and was a foster parent for over 30 years. Survivors include her children, Jimmy (Mary) Simmons, Beverly (Lewis) Echols, Artrea Thomas, Darron (Sharon) Maxwell, Anthony Davis; stepson, Arron (Oorlanthia) Gunn; 9 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Linda) Simmons, Arthur (Pat) Simmons, John (Jo Catherine) Simmons, Dewey Simmons, Laura (Lewis) Kelly, Emma (Johnny) Zachery, Lillie (Henry) Alexander, Martina (Jerome) Hammonds and Mary Lou Rawland and other relatives and friends.
