A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Lydia Agnes Smith Fagan, 88, 10 a.m. today at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont with Donald Golden officiating. Mrs. Fagan passed away on February 2, 2017 at Piedmont Health Care Center. Mrs. Fagan was born in Baker County, Ga. on October 30, 1928. She married Harry L. Fagan on December 11, 1948 and spent her 52 years of married life as a military wife being transferred to many army posts. She was a wonderful mother to two children. Mrs. Fagan was a graduate of Omega School 1945. She attended Southern Business College in Atlanta while working at Southern Bell. There was a book Mrs. Fagan loved to read, "Angels Among us." She often spoke about the staff at Piedmont Health Care Center were indeed her angels. She loved all of them, and considered them her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, SFC Harry L. Fagan, and her treasured son, Steven Bruce Fagan. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Tillery, and a beloved niece, Wanda Gayle Tillery, both of Omega, Georgia. She is survived by a daughter, Debra (Donald) Golden, of Glencoe; her cherished niece, Rhonda Tillery; her beloved nephew, Randall (Karen) Tillery; her great-niece, Kaylee Tillery, all of Omega, Ga.; her two chosen family members, Louise and Thomas Cain, of Piedmont.
