Funeral service for Mr. Lynnard "Lynn" Gary Baines, 74, will be Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Charles Rinehart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Patton's Chapel Cemetery, in Lincoln, following the service. Mr. Baines died on Monday November 17, 2014 at RMC in Anniston. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, June Studdard Baines; four sons, Adam Baines, of Birmingham, Dustin Baines, of Jacksonville, Barry (Abbie) Baines, of Talladega and Scotty (Tami) Baines, of Talladega; one daughter, Jennifer (Jody) Murner, of Talladega; seven grandchildren, Zachary Baines, Jessica Baines, Payton Baines, Hunter Baines, Mallory (Justin) Lee, Jordan Murner and Jana Murner; six great grandchildren, Lily Grace Walker, Chloe Baines, Clair Baines, Alana Andrews, Aubrey Lee and Blayton Baines; three sisters, Jean Owens, of Cleveland, Tenn., Sharon (Roger) Winningham, of Douglasville, Ga. and Connie (Bill) McKennon, of Douglasville, Ga.; one brother, Larry Baines, of Bessemer; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Zachary Baines, Hunter Baines, David Studdard, Tony Garmon, Bill McKennon and Shane Winningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason McKennon, Vernon Moses, C.D. Chapel, Bobby Owens and James Ledbetter. Mr. Baines was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved Alabama football along with NASCAR racing. During his working career he managed grocery stores, starting with Kwik Check in Talladega, then moving to Winn Dixie in Talladega and finally retiring from Gregerson's Foods. Mr. Baines was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jethro Ivory and Mary Cotton Baines; sister, Joyce Hollingsworth; two brothers, Kenneth Baines and Jerry Baines; two brothers-in-law, Alvin J. Owens and James Hollingsworth; his grandparents, Thadeus Franklin and Addie Lee Cotton, Henry Gaston and Elizabeth Pearl Mullinax Baines.
