Service for Mac Dickeson, 72, will be Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Burns and the Rev. Jessie Barksdale officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at New Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 - 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Dickeson passed away Monday, October 26, 2015, at UAB. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lillie Dickeson; one son, Doug Dickeson (Paula), of Piedmont; two daughters, Dana Thompson (Jerry), of Pleasant Valley and Dawn Johns (Billy), of Chinch Creek; grandchildren, Kaitlin Humphrey (Joe), Heath Thompson (Whitney), Dalton Thompson, Trent Dickeson, Hali Dickeson, Zach Kiser, Abbie Dickeson, Anthony Kiser, Cody Curlee and Kaylee Curlee; four great- grandchildren, Braylee, Jameson, Jaycee and Ridge Humphrey; one brother, Leo Dickeson (Joy); one sister, Johnnie Fae Austin and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ray King, Randy King, Jeff Dickeson, Travis Frost, James Reed, Archie Reed, Rickey Ashworth and Sonny McMichael. Mr Dickeson was a native and resident of Chinch Creek all his life. He was a member of Holley Crossroads Baptist Church, Anniston Moose Lodge #1669 and American Legion Post #0098. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from McLeod Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Velma Dickeson and two brothers, Lonnie Ray Dickeson and Frank Dickeson. www.thompsonfuneralhomepiedmont.com
