Funeral service for Macey Nolen Head, 83, will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Pastor Cory Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Head passed away on Thursday in Oxford. Survivors include daughters, Debra Henderson (Gary), Tina Roper (Dennis) and Michaga Vinson (Shane); sons, James Mack Head (Vanessa) and Kenneth Head (Jill); sister, Jean Viens (Joe); brothers, Lewis Nolen, Thomas Nolen, Wayne Nolen and Carroll Nolen; best friend, Mildred Thornton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Head is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Head; daughter, Betty East; grandsons, Patrick Wayne East and Kenneth V. Head Jr.; granddaughter, Anita Jean Harrison and great- granddaughter, Olivia Hope Harrison. Pallbearers will be Mike Rogers, Tranzie Loveless, Bobby Lovell, Justin Long and Jeff Doby. Mrs. Head was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Morrisville Baptist Church.
