Funeral service for Mr. Mack "Big Mac" Eatmon Jr., 44, will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville with the Rev. Alton Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Jacksonville, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family will arrive at the funeral home at 5 p.m. Mr. Eatmon died on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Jacksonville. He is survived by his parents, James L. and Shirley Johnson, of Jacksonville; two brothers, James W. (fiancé, Trina Smith) Johnson Sr., of Enterprise and Brian C. (Jessica) Johnson, of Fredricksburg, Va.; one sister, Maria A. (fiancé, Sian Staley) Fickling, of Augusta, Ga.; four aunts, Leah E. (Alton) Taylor, of Denmark, S.C., Elaine Moore, of Denmark, S.C., Deborah (Joseph) Walker, of Augusta, Ga. and Colleen Johnson, of Burlington, N.C.; one uncle, Marvin (Charlene) McFadden, of Augusta, Ga.; six nephews; eight nieces and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Jacksonville High School Class of '91. Mr. Eaton graduated from Jacksonville High School where he played football for several years. He was a graduate with the Class of '91. Upon graduation he attended East Mississippi Community College where he played football as well. Mr. Eaton was a Superintendant for Flowers Bakery in Birmingham and was a friend to all who knew him. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by many. Mr. Eatmon was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. Mike and Hattie B. Fickling and his sister, Michelle Denise Johnson.
