Funeral service for Mrs. Mamie Sue Fowler, 86, of Lineville will be held today April 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. Roger Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Clay County Memory Gardens. Mrs. Fowler passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at Clay County Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She was a graduate of New Site High School. Mrs. Fowler was a homemaker and a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of twenty nine years, Billy Fowler, of Lineville; three daughters, Carol Raley-Lawhorn, of Kellyton, Debra Riddle, of Ashland, and Pam Wiggins, of Graham; one son, Scott Fowler, of Wedowee; two sisters, Sara Tidwell, of Pensacola, Fla., and Ruth Gardner, of Franklin, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Harris and Burnie Caldwell Harris; and nine brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Fowler will be Ethan Fowler, Scott Fowler, John Holmes, Harvey Thompson, Mark Tidwell, and Ray Wiggins. Clay County Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
