Funeral service for Margaret Elizabeth J.W. Green, 82, will be on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville with the Rev. Roosevelt Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Green passed away on April 18, 2016 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Green's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. Green worked at Jacksonville State University for over 40 years. She also served as Church Mother at New Hope. Survivors include her daughters, Wyonna, Jalta, Myrus, Elizabeth "Teen" and Carolyn (Len); brother, Paul (Mable) Jelks; grandchildren, Adrain Len (Sharon), Cupid (Larry L.), Carlos (Tiffany), Lisa (Travis), Clinthque and Tarsha; great-grands, Chase, C.J., Kadon and Dontavaious; step-children, Geraldine, Bennie, Zora and George Jr (Carolyn), step-grand, Darrel; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Willie Lee Carpenter Jelks; husband, George W.
