Mrs. Margaret Lynn Carden, 59, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2017 surrounded by her family at home. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Garry Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on this evening from 6-8 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Margaret Carden was born on August 19, 1958. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joys were her family and being the best "Maw Maw" to her grandson, Hudson. She was a beloved member of the Wellborn Elementary School community where she served as the school nurse for several years and was proudly known as "Nurse Margaret". Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Lane Martin and Glenda Jean Perry Martin, and a brother, Michael Martin. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James "Buddy" Carden; her son and daughter-in-law, Jameson and Holly Carden, and grandson, Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Phil Maples; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Charles Estes; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Tina Martin; brother, Ronald Martin; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Charlie Lattuada and his staff, as well as the staffs of Kindred Home Health and Hospice.
