Graveside service for Margie Lee Gibbs, 77, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Jon Guthery officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Gibbs passed away Wednesday morning at Gadsden Health and Rehab. Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her sons, Raymond Vance (Rebecca) Parris, of Southside, Lance Wyatt Parris, of Talladega and step-son, Keith (Kelley) Gibbs, of Roanoke and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gibbs is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Mancel Gibbs; parents, J.T. and Dimmie Wyatt and brothers, Gene Wyatt, Otis Wyatt, Leon Wyatt and Lewis Wyatt. Mrs. Gibbs was a lifelong resident of Anniston. She was a very caring, hardworking Christian and a great mother. She spent her career as a nurse. One of her proudest moments was receiving the nurse of the year award at a local hospital in 1978. The family would like to extend special thanks to Maggie and Wayne Smith, Donnie and Diane Cash, Rosie Wyatt, the wonderful staff at Gadsden Health and Rehab, especially the 800 hall, Southern Care Hospice, Deb Batey, NHC place and Comfort Keepers.
