Funeral and viewing for Margie Mae Sellers Christensen, 82, will be Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Life Worship Center, at 4328 Saks Rd. in Anniston. (Across from Saks High School) the Rev. Jonathan Pate and Bishop Stan Davidson officiating. Family will receive friends at 12-2 p.m., service immediately following. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, located on Hwy 431 in Alexandria, Ala. Ms. Christensen went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, November 17, 2014. She is survived by two sons; four daughters; two step-daughters, Mary (Ronnie) White, of Anniston, David (Ann) Christensen, of Anniston, Patricia Christensen, of Chariton, Iowa, Phillip Christensen, of Brookville, Fla., Rose (Robert) Perry, Sheila (Jim) Keller, of Aberdeen, Maryland, Joyce Altman, of Fredericksburg, Va. and Clarice Loerop, of Delray Beach, Fla.; her siblings, Leroy (Mag) Sellers, of Matthews, N.C., Betty Callahan, of Anniston, Jay (Donna) Sellers, of Dearmanville, Melba Holinshed and Ann (Roy) Simmons, both of Anniston and Marshal (Rita), of Oxford; 26 grandchildren; 30, great-grandchildren; six or more great-great-grandchildren; with a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Fletcher, Josh Christensen, Matthew Christensen, Carlos Guevara, Jamie Champion and James Keller. Ms. Christensen was a noted member of Life Worship Center. Born in Texas, raised in Cullman, Ala., resided as an adult in Chicago, Ill, North Carolina and back and forth from Anniston, Alabama and Harford County, Maryland. Residing for the last 20 years back in Anniston. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great and great-great grandmother whom she loved to visit and to be visited. She retired from Butterworth Nursing Home Agency, working as a CNA in home health also worked prior in Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was strong, stubborn, tenacious, loving, caring and enjoyed giving even when she didn't have to give. She loved spending time sewing, drawing, writing, collecting dolls, going to and having yard sales, canning. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Esley and Lillie McMillian Sellers; siblings, Alvin Wayne, Wiladean, Barbara Nell Sellers, Doris Siskey and Emmalean Hall; daughter-in-law, Chris Christensen; step- daughters, Ruth Ann McPeak and Beverly; step-son, Ralph Christensen Jr.; granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Phagen.
