Funeral service for Mrs. Marjorie Dunnette Wright "Miss Marge", 90, will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 12 p.m. in Martin's Chapel of First Baptist Church of Oxford with Dr. Stan Albright officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Dogwood Trails Cemetery. Mrs. Wright passed away on January 10, 2016 at NHC. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Phillip Wright; children, Kathy Moore, Phil Wright (Judy), Wendy Usry (Eddie); grandchildren, Amy Morini (Mark), Scott Usry (Tina), Chris Wright (Carmen), Rob Moore (Lynn), Mark Usry (Suzy), Allison Bailey (Stephen); 18 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Harold and Alvira Dunnette; brother, William Dunnette; son in law, John Moore. Pallbearers will be Buford Parker, Rob Moore, Chris Wright, Stephen Bailey, Mark Usry and Scott Usry. Mrs. Wright was a very Godly woman who loved children. She was a teacher for the second grade Sunday school class for over 50 years at First Baptist Church of Oxford. Mrs. Wright and her husband were also very active in the church, including helping with Prayer Breakfast for the football team and participating with the LLL group. She taught her grandchildren to "stop and smell the roses" and friends said that "to know her was to love her". Mrs. Wright loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always there for them in any way she could be. The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to The Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Oxford. The family would like to extend a special thank you to NHC Healthcare and to Alacare Hospice.
