Rabbittown - Funeral services for Marshall Burns, 70, of Rabbittown will be Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Mr. Gary Batson and Mr. Gary McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow at Rabbittown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Burns passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at RMC in Anniston. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Gail Burns; one daughter, Tracy Burns, of Rabbittown; two sisters, Hazel Coppock, of Heflin and Blanche Warren, of Piedmont; two brothers, Cecil Burns (Margie), of Rabbittown and Carl David Burns (Elsie), of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews Pallbearers will be Nicky Williamson, Jason Williamson, Gathan Burns, Ken Hudson, Rayford Ivey, and Kevin Coppock. Mr. Burns was a lifelong resident of Rabbitown, was a member of the White Plains Church of Christ and was a retired logger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sarah Burns; and one sister, Maylene Headrick.
