Memorial Service for Martha Ann Banks Horn, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Anniston. Mrs. Horn died on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at her residence after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Foster, Kandi Street (Robert), Kathy Strammelo and Josephine Nungester; son, Christopher Thompson (Beth); sisters, Jean Black (Hubert) and Sandra Richards; grandchildren, Justin Wade (Leah), Courtney Shirley (James), Stephanie Wade, Kristin Lovvorn, Brittany Waugh (Jonathon), Blake Wade, Teresa Blanchard, Cecilia Ackerman (Steven) and Claurissa Ryder; twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horn was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Horn; her parents, C.L. and Edna Banks; brother, Robert Banks and a sister, Brenda Banks. Mrs. Horn, formerly of Indiatlantic, Fla. and Atlanta, Ga., moved to Calhoun County over twenty years ago to be near the family. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they always brought her much joy and happiness. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any donation be made to .
