A memorial service for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth "Liz" Richardson will be at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of Anniston with Dr. James D. McLeod Jr. officiating. Mrs. Richardson passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Richardson Jr., of Anniston; son, Bill Richardson (Pat), of Leeds; grandchildren, Simon P. Richardson, of Florence; Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Richardson, of Homewood; brother, Hal C. Buckelew (Kossie), of Oneonta; nephews, Mike Buckelew and Fred Buckelew, of Oneonta, and Jerry Buckelew, of Arab; several great-nieces and nephews, and special friend, Connie Chaney, of Ohatchee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred H. and Martha W. Buckelew. Mrs. Richardson was a 1954 graduate of Anniston High School and attended Auburn University and Jacksonville State University. She was a receptionist for Dr. G.G. Woodruff Jr. from 1965 and was employed at Anniston Family Practice at the time of her death. Mrs. Richardson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Anniston and was a Sunday school teacher for more years than anyone can remember. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.
