Service for Mary Blanche Warren, 87, will be Sunday, October 18, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Mr. Jimmy Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Warren passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Anniston RMC surrounded by her family. Survivors include two children, Rayford Ivey (Peggy) and Suzie McDonald (Sam), all of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Shane Lorren and Terry Surrett (Keith); two great-grandchildren, Madison Lorren and Autumn McMurray; one sister, Hazel Coppock, of Heflin; two brothers, Cecil Burns (Margie), of Jacksonville and Carl David Burns (Elsie), of Piedmont; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Doc Grimes, Ken Hudson, Gathan Burns, Jason Williamson, Keith Surrett and Kevin Coppock. Mrs. Warren was a resident of Piedmont most of her life and was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Ivey, her second husband, Robert Warren; son, Buck Ivey; grandson, Chris Lorren; parents, Henry and Sarah Burns; one brother, Marshall Burns; one sister, Maylene Headrick.
