Funeral service for Mary E. Patton, 85, will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony C. Chatmon officiating. Mrs. Patton remains will arrived at the church one hour prior to her service. Interment will follow in Hobson City Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Patton passed away on December 27, 2014. Mrs.Patton was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and served faithfully as a Usher, Deaconess and on the Missionary Society. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie R. Patton; her children, Lena Patton Osula, of Atlanta, Ga., Willie R. Patton, Nellie Patton and Rita Patton, all of Anniston; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Georgia Walton, of Decatur, Nell Lena Walton, of Anniston, Ether Smith, Zettie Wood, Judy Wood and Robert Wood, all of Chicago, Ill. and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Argusta Wood; siblings, Charles, Bobbie Jean, Thomas, Betty, Della and Jasper Wood.
