Memorial service for Mary Gaynell Halpin will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until service time. Ms. Halpin died Friday at Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa (Murray) Johns, of Orlando, Fla. and Sherry (Randy) Cline, of Gadsden; grandsons, Austin Sims and Elliot (Hannah) Sims; brothers, Marion Chappell, Billy (Jane) Chappell, Larry (Betty) Champion and Dennis (Susan) Champion. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, James "Bill" Halpin. Ms. Halpin was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church and retired from Mutual Savings Life Insurance Company.
