Heflin - Mary Jane Shockley, 77, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Stringfellow Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, January 02, 2014, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Jackson and the Rev. Philip Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be today, January 02, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home. Survivors include son, Stephen (Ellie) Shockley, Anniston; brother, Robert (Irmalene) Norton, Heflin, Lewis Norton, Heflin; grandchildren, Marc Shockley, Alex Shockley, Samantha "Sam" Boyd; great-grandchildren, Taylor Shockley,Hadlee Shockley,Ellie Victoria Shockley, Madison Boyd, Caleb Boyd; special friends, Tonya and Jason Wilkins and sons; and special niece, Janice Norton, Heflin. Pallbearers are Shag Austin, Charlie Norton, Audie Hyatt,Jason Wilkins, Junior McGee andMark Hilburn. Mama Jane was a life long resident of Cleburne County and was retired from the Cleburne County School System where she served most of her career as the secretary at Cleburne Elementary prior to her retirement. She was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Lee Shockley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Happy Hill and Heflin Baptist Churches
