Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Jo Cobb, 83, will be 3 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. John Copeland and Dr. Clint Vaughn officiating. Entombment will follow at Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 1-3 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cobb died Wednesday afternoon, July 27, 2016. Mrs. Cobb is survived by her daughter, Debbie Vaughn (Dennis), of Weaver; two grandsons, Adam Vaughn and Clint (April) Vaughn; one great-granddaughter, Emma Vaughn, whom she loved dearly; one sister, Druenell Danielson (Danny) of Scobey, Montana; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cobb is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marvin Buddy Cobb; her parents, Drue and Effie Bell Cobb; brothers, Edward and Curtis Cobb; sisters, Martha Rowell, Hortense Morris and Wilma Bassett. Mrs. Cobb retired from the Calhoun County School Systems. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Saks. Pallbearers will be Dennis Vaughn, Adam Vaughn, Randy Cobb, Elbert Finley, Lelton Bell and Rob Robinett. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday school class, The Rachel Class, of First Baptist Church of Saks and retirees from Saks Elementary School.
