Mary Jo Myers, 95, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at NHC in Anniston. She was born in Fostoria, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University briefly, then World War II broke out. She joined the United States Navy and there met her future husband. They were married in their dress blues in Akron, Ohio on October 22, 1944. They spent most of the married lives in St. Louis, Missouri before retiring to Florida. Her hobbies included golf, bridge, knitting, reading, and working jigsaw puzzles. She also loved to walk. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dewitt Myers; a daughter, Barbara Ide; two sisters, Carol Price and Jane Willis, and a brother, Bill Weltner. Mrs. Myers is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Reynolds (Perry), of Anniston and Ginny Myers, of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Pat Hollinger, of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren, Chris Reynolds (Amber), of Anniston, Andrew Reynolds (Jen), of Roswell, Ga., Beth Kessinger (Jonathan), of Bowling Green, Ky., and Patty Berrian (Matt), of Louisville, Ky.; great grandsons, Reid Reynolds and Jacob Kessinger.
