Funeral service for Mary Louise McGhee Jones, 81, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Carlton L. Phillips, Pastor with the Rev. John H. James officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Jones will lie in repose one prior to service at the church. Viewing will be held today from 1 - 7 p.m. with a wake from 6 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary worked for 30 years as an elementary school teacher at Tenth Street and Norwood Elementary and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Survivors include her loving daughters, Valerie (Travis) Bradford and Elvira Louise Jones, both of Anniston; sisters, Ovetta (Luther) Owens, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Flouzetta White, of Anniston, Dorothy (Gregory) Lamar, of Hillside, Ill.; grandsons, Orlando M. Jones Jr., Robert Charles (Quinitra) Goodman, Jr., Robert Bonds, Kyle Jones and Justin Goodman; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
