Funeral service for Mary Martha Jones, 74, will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015, 2 p.m. at Coldwater Baptist Church. Dr. Vicky Davis and the Rev. Charles Worthington Sr will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on today from 6 till 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Ms. Jones passed away on Sunday at her residence. Survivors include her daughter, Shasta Jones; sister-in-law, Elinor Jones; niece, Cindy Jones; nephew, Ken Jones (Peri); cousins, Greg Everett, Chris Everrett, Dr. Jeff Fuller (Tina), Savanah Fuller, Patsy McWhorter (Lynn), Price McWhorter, Emily McWhorter, Debra Self, Caleb Jones, Daniel Jones, Michelle Bushman, Darren Eastall and Laura Hix. Pallbearers will be Ken Jones, Greg Everrett, Davin Fred, Lynn Hanna, Larry White, Preston Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Harland C. Jones and RMC 5th Floor Staff. Mary was a resident of Coldwater for 74 years. She graduated from Oxford High School and attended Auburn University. She was an art major and had many beautiful works. Mary worked as a civil servant at Ft. McClellan and was a waitress at The Battle House and retired from Anniston High Lunchroom. She was a member of New Hope Ministries. Mary was a lover of all animals, the country and family. She was very giving in so many ways. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to New Hope Ministries or to a ministry of your choosing in her name. The family would like to recognize some very special care givers, Janet Fred and family, Amy lee and family, Melissa Rhoden , Anniston RMC 5th Floor Nurses & Techs; the Rev. Harry Skaggs; hospice aid, Donna Walley; nurses, Regina McEntyre, Tyler Pence and Jolie Champion.
