Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Nell Aderholdt Smith will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 12 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Morris and Joshua Evans officiating with burial to follow at Williams Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Smith, with her daughter by her side, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 26, 2016, in Florida. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Roger) Evans; sons, Clarence (Robin) Smith and Tim (Tracy) Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kristy) Smith, Trisha (Steve) Straub, Daniel (Megan) Evans, Bethany (Gunney) Waters, Joshua (Sherri) Evans, Bradley Smith, Julie (Nick) Newman, Emily Smith and Jason Smith; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Malachi, Kadence, Carrington, Cael, Abigail, Jaden, Lilah Kate, Stella, Ava, Caroline and Luke; sisters, Ada Lee Houck and Jewell Magouyrk. Mrs. Smith is proceeded in death by her husband, Eskell L. Smith; grandson, Caleb Roger Evans; parents, Calvin Dean Aderholdt and Bertha Nelson Aderholdt; brothers, CD Aderholdt and Nelson Aderholdt; sisters, Ruth Wilkins, Virginia Fleming, Hazel Bain and Lela Mae Wilson. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Smith, Joshua Evans, Bradley Smith, Jason Smith, Larry Smith and Cole Smith. Mrs. Smith was the founder of Jewell's Friendly Tax Service, which she owned and managed until she retired in 2007. She was a charter member of the 49th Street Baptist Church, where she loved serving the Lord through singing, teaching children and doing for others. After retiring she moved to Lakeland, Fla., where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law. While living in Fla., she was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
