Funeral service for Mrs. Maryjo Walker Robertson, 85, of Cragford, will be today February 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Cragford Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Colquett, the Rev. Zenus Windsor and the Rev. Dwight Upchurch officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens. Mrs. Robertson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 14, 2015. She passed away at her home in Cragford, Alabama. Maryjo was born in Birmingham and moved to Cragford at the age of two, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a Proverbs 31 wife, mother and lady. Maryjo was a graduate of Cragford High School and a supporter of Auburn University, evidenced by having three children and one grandchild being Auburn graduates. She fulfilled her life's ambition to be the best mother and wife. Mrs. Robertson was a member of Cragford Baptist Church where she was the pianist and Sunday school teacher for many years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Buster L. Robertson, of Cragford; one brother, Dr. Jimmy D. Walker (Linda), of Ashland; one sister-in-law, Margaret M. Walker, of Ashland; one daughter, Susan R. Crowden (Al), of Somerville; one son, Larry D. Robertson (Karen), of Cragford; two grandsons, Douglas Robertson (LaShay), of Anniston and Justin Crowden (Savannah), of Priceville; one granddaughter, Amy Robertson (fiancé, Tab Bruce), of Opelika; three great-grandchildren, Kannon Robertson, Drake Crowden and Layla Crowden; special caretakers, Bonnie Kunickis and Elizabeth Smith. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her parents, Leon D. and Lula Walker; her sister, Marie V. Routledge; her brother, Bill Walker; her daughter, Deborah R. Larson. Pallbearers will be Tab Bruce, Justin Crowden, Gerald Dial, Douglas Robertson, Lloyd Sparks, Dr. George Smith Sr., Billy Walker and Dee Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be the First State Bank board of directors and their spouses, Central High School Athletic Club members and members of the Alabama National Guard units in Lineville and Oxford. In honor of Maryjo, memorial contributions can be made to the Cragford Baptist Church, P.O. Box 42, Cragford, AL 36255.
