Funeral service for Mr. Maynard Allen Byron, 82, will be Friday, January 16, 2015, at 12 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Danny Waddell officiating burial following at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Byron passed away January 12, 2015 in Wellington. Mr. Byron is survived by his son, John W. (Tammy) Byron; sisters, Maxine V. Hatch and Magda S. Hewitt; "brother", Bernard Versansky; grandchildren, Kyle W. Nix and Kara Nicole Byron; great-grandchild, Jasper Lawrence Russell; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Byron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma; four brothers and five sisters. Mr. Byron was a native of West Virginia and a resident of Alabama; he served in the US Marine for four years. Mr. Byron was always there for his family helping in any way he could and will be greatly missed. Condolences may be left at
