Melba Medders Haynes, 73, a long-time resident of Saks and Anniston, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Hospice of Hamilton, Ohio, after suffering a massive stroke. She was cremated on December 13, 2016. Melba was born in Childersburg on April 24, 1943, and graduated from Alexandria High School in 1961, where she was head majorette and voted "Most Dignified" in the school yearbook. Melba later attended Birmingham Southern Business College. Melba is survived by one daughter, Tara Page and son-in-law, Scott Page, of Trenton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Quintin Page and Olivia Page, also of Trenton; one sister, Dianne Medders Adams and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Adams, of Kissimmee, Florida, and several aunts and cousins. Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Haynes and parents, Elbert Tyson and Ophelia Bailey Medders.
