Sylacauga - Graveside service for Mildred Cook, 93, was Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont, with the Rev. Jerry Pike officiating. Mrs. Cook died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Mountain View Retirement Village in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alice Baxter; husband, J.T. Cook; brother, George Baxter and sister, Christine Owens. Mrs. Cook worked at Union Yarn Mills of Jacksonville. She is survived by her son, Jerry Cook, wife Jo Ann; daughter, Janice Anderson, husband Butch; granddaughters, Deanna Harrington, husband Freddie and Amy Bazzell, husband Jeremy; grandsons, Andy Anderson, wife Christy and Tim Anderson, wife Kelly; great-grandchildren, Taylor Harrington, Josh Harrington, Peyton Harrington, Emma Bazzell, RayRay Anderson and Jackson Anderson and sister, Ruth Butts. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Andy Anderson, Tim Anderson, Jon Cook, Freddie Harrington, Jeremy Bazzell, Jeff Adcock and Phillip Pruett. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.
