Graveside service for Mildred (Cook) Champion, 87, formerly of Anniston will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Champion died on Sunday at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas. She is survived by daughtes, Sharon Willis (John) and Belinda Clark; son, Jerry Champion (Marie); sister, Alma McCabe; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Champion was a native of Lindale, Texas and was a former resident of Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Vernon Champion; parents, Arthur and Oma (Couch) Cook; sisters, Etta, Eula, Evelyn, Flora and Dorothy; brothers, Paul, John, Earl and Arthur and a grandson, Stephen Champion.
