Mrs. Mildred H. Maddox, 94, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. Mrs. Maddox was born in Panama City, Florida on July 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Robert L. Herring and Lilly Etheridge Herring. She retired from the Business Office of University of West Georgia and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton. Survivors include her son, Gil Maddox, M.D.; grandchildren, Mac Maddox, Major Stephen Maddox, Margaret Michelle Romano, Annalese Maddox, Morgan Maddox, and Jason Siegle, and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Maddox; daughter, Rosemary Siegle, and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Jason Siegel, Mac Maddox, Jim Collins, Jimmy Tuggle, Glenn Grisham, and Vernon Wilkes. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Trojan Athletics. Funeral service was held Sunday, April 2, 2017 from the First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Davis and the Rev. Henry Tyson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Legacy Campaign, 102 Dixie Street, Carrollton, GA 30117.
