Funeral service for Myrtice A. Fowler, 87, will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Angles and the Rev. Charles Worthington will be officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Ms. Fowler passes away on Sunday at her residence. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Green, Linda Nettles, Kay Freeman (Lafain); son, Barry Fowler; sisters, Betty Wilson, Dollie Young, Jimmie Smith, and Sandra Brown; brother, Fred Cook, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sonny Green, Joshua Green, Brent Traylor, Brandon Traylor, Drew McDermott and Stevie Bowers. Ms. Fowler was a resident of Coldwater. She was a member of Assembly of God. Ms. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents, John F and Willie Bell Cook; son, Larry Bowers; granddaughter, Cindy Nettles, a great-grandson, Drew Davidson; great-granddaughter, Chloe Hill; a son-in-law, Gene Green.
