Mrs. Myrtice Cobb, 89, of Oxford went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at NHC Healthcare surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 7 pm at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Rev. Eric Snider and Rev. Frank Crumb presiding. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 5 until 7 pm. A graveside service at Edgemont Cemetery will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10 am. Pallbearers will be Fred Adkinson, Jake Adkinson, Scott Payton, Larry Cobb Jr., Matthew Sedenik and JJ Hyde. Junior Pallbearers will be Carter Crumb, Cooper Crumb, Brody Sedenik, Payton Sedenik and Bryson Payton She is survived by her daughter, Susan Adkinson and husband, Freddy; grandchildren, Larry Cobb Jr. and wife, Ponda, Stacy Payton and husband, Scott, Casey Crumb and husband, Frankie, Jake Adkinson and wife, Keaona, and Brandi Greenwood; great grandchildren, Summer Sedenik and husband, Matthew, Haley Hyde and husband, JJ, Taylor Cobb, Erin Cobb, Madison Crumb, Carter Crumb, Cooper Crumb, Logan Greenwood and wife, Michole, and Amanda Greenwood; great great grandchildren, Brody Sedenik, Payton Sedenik, and Bryson Payton; a sister, Jackie Prickett and Ray; a very special sister-in-law, Annie Reid; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Mrs. Cobb is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marlin Cobb; a son, Larry Cobb Sr.; a daughter, Louise Cobb; her parents, Samuel Mark and Carmon Cobb; brothers, Tommy Cobb and Bobby Cobb; and sisters, Jean Feazell, Peggy Sanders and Mary Ann (Snooks) Yarbrough. Mrs. Cobb was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of White Plains and a former member of Ruhama Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County (Anniston and Oxford) where she managed Pic'n Pay Shoe Store for more than 30 years. After retirement, Mrs. Cobb devoted her remaining life to being the very best wife, mother, and mamaw to her cherished family and a friend to all who knew her. She took pleasure in gardening with Marlin and preparing and serving the finest country cooking for family meals and church socials. She will be missed by all who love her. Until we meet again....
