Nancy Kaye Gaines Watkins, 61, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband, Art Watkins, of Weaver; son, Billy Ray Watkins, of Anniston; a grandson, William Scott Watkins, of Weaver; one brother, Larry Gaines (Sandra), of Oxford; three sisters, Susan Vice (Eddie), of Wellington, Anita Kilgore (Tom), of Jacksonville and Lisa Holloway (Mike), of Virginia; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Dorothy Ann Gaines. Mrs. Watkins was a 1972 graduate of Alexandria High School. She worked as a teacher's aide at Weaver Elementary School. She attended Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church in Anniston. She was a devout Christian lady who loved her grandson. Donations in her memory can be made to the . She will be buried at Montevallo Veterans Cemetery.
