Nannelle Wilson Clarke Horn, 90, of Anniston, passed away on June 1, 2010 at her home. She was born on December 4, 1919 to Ernest G. and Nellie Warnock Wilson, of Oxford. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anniston. Nelle worked for the Anniston National Bank for over 40 years. Upon retirement, she was an active volunteer with her church, Meals on Wheels, The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and the Pink Ladies of Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Chautauqua Club and the Tuesday Sewing Club of Anniston. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Hyatt Clarke Sr.; her son, Raymond Hyatt Clarke Jr. and her second husband, Dr Louis Giles Horn Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Christi Nelle Clarke Gentle; her grandsons, John Clarke Gentle and wife, Shelley Adams Gentle, Benjamin Duncan Gentle and Andrew William Gentle; her great-grandson, John Clarke Gentle Jr., all of Birmingham; her dear friend, Phyllis Slecke Weaver and the Clarke and Horn families. The family wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation to Sheila Everhart, Rachel Dulaney, Tina Allan, Takeya Moore, Gwen Griffin and Michelle Goss for the love and care they gave "Miss Nelle" in the last years of her life. Visitation will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the Acker Chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Anniston, 1400 Noble Street, with funeral to follow at 3 p.m. with Dr. Bobby Green officiating.
