Neal H. Pierce Jr., a native of Anniston, was born May 6, 1960 and was placed in the arms of the angels on November 21, 2015 at his home in Houston, Texas. Neal is survived by his parents, Neal and Martha Pierce, of Lincoln, Robert and Joann Jackson, of Oxford; sister, Neale Garmon (Mike), of Oxford and Regina Turner (Barney), of Oxford; two nieces, Charlee-Ann Garmon and Olivia Turner; nephews, Colton Turner Dalton Garmon. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melinda Pierce; sister, Debbie Pierce; grandparents, A.H. and Roberta Pierce, Morris and Ruby Adams. A Pioneer Disc Jockey since the 1980's, he was known as "Mix Master Neal" at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill in Los Vegas for many years. Neal was voted The Number 1 Disc Jockey in Los Vegas in 2005. Neal was an amazing kind spirited human being with a heart of gold who never met a stranger. He was distinguished by his love of God, his family and his love of music. Heaven surely gained another angel in the Angel Band. Funeral service will be Sunday, November 29, 2015, 3 p.m. at Lincoln Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Goodwin will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 till 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Lincoln City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Clark, Jimmy Curlee, Mike Garmon, Jason Pahman, Lamar Ward and John Morris.
