Oxford - A private family service will be held at noon today, May 10, 2013, at Maple Grove Cemetery for Newton "Mack" Hoyt McCormick Jr.. Interment will be at the South Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida later this month. Mack was born on May 2, 1948 in Anniston, Alabama. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his parents, Idell and Newton Hoyt McCormick and his sister, Bobbie Virginia Smith. Survivors include a son and two daughters, Billy, Cassie and Melissa, his sister, Rita Musto (Mike), and several nieces and nephews. Miller Funeral Home
