Funeral service for Nikita Ann O'neal, 39, will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Frederick Durant officiating. Interment will follow at Sunlight Church Cemetery. Mrs. O'neal passed away on September 3, 2014 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. Mrs. O'neal remains will arrive at the church at 11 a.m. for viewing, a private viewing at noon until service. Nikita graduated from Lincoln High School. Survivors include her husband, Edward S. O'Neal, of Oxford; children, Christopher Burnett and Gloria Burnett, both of Eastaboga; parents, Oliver and Linda James, of Eastaboga; siblings, Tameka Averette, Olivia (Ryine) James-Truss, both of Eastaboga and Oliver James III, of Anniston; mother in-law: Rene O'Neal, of Heflin; in-laws, Rodney O'Neal, of Atlanta and Fleixca O'Neal, of Anniston; godmother, Gwendolyn Montgomery, of Eastaboga; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John L. Montgomery Sr. and Lucille Brooks Montgomery; uncles, Robert, Andrew, and John L.
