A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Norman Wicklund, 85, will be 3 p.m. Friday July 3, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gadsden with Pastor P.J. Moore and Bro. Bill Caudle. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Wicklund passed away Tuesday afternoon at NEARMC. Norman is survived by his wife, Keitha Wicklund; daughter, Ann Marie Wicklund (Richard); sons, Douglas Wicklund, Robert Wicklund (Sheryl) and Paul Wicklund (Anna); sisters, Florence Elstad (Richard), and Shirley Bosshart; sister-in-law, Joan Wicklund; brothers, Carl Wicklund (Betty); Kenneth Wicklund and Jerry Wicklund (Audrey); grandchildren, Sarah Gilliam, Heather Silverman, Matthew Wicklund, Molly Hess, Robert Wicklund Jr., Tiffany Wicklund, Felicia Wicklund, Mitchell Kimball, Jacob Kimball, Lucas Wicklund, Nicholas Wicklund, Madasyn Dilliard, Ava Frost, Grayson Frost, Jade Frost, Cole Frost, and Landon Frost; great-grandchildren, Trey Ransom, Jack Gilliam, Ivy Mae Gilliam, Eli Wicklund, Owen Wicklund and Keegan Fox; and many nieces and nephews. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Wicklund; his first wife, Barbara Wicklund; daughter, Patty Wicklund; brother, Raymond Wicklund; sister, Diane Bjorneby. Norman was a native of Northfield Minn. and lived most of his life in Ohatchee. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was also a member of The Ohatchee Senior Citizens. He retired from the Telephone Company after 30 years of service. Norman was an avid woodcutter, a gardener and spent much of his time collecting aluminum cans. He enjoyed being retired for 30 years and will be greatly missed.
