Funeral service for Mrs. Onez "Tootsie" Hill, 81, will be held in the chapel of Anniston Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hill passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017, in her husband's loving arms. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 61 years, Ray Hill; three children, David (Jennifer) Hill, Ricky Hill and Pam (Kevin) Freeman; five grandchildren, Justin (Krystal) Hill, Laney (Jared) Staks, Ricky Lee Hill, Jr., Lindsay Freeman and Anslyn Hill; three step-grandchildren, Matthew, Mark and Luke Bowen; four great-grandchildren, Arial, Karen and Clark Hill and Lily Staks; one brother, Lemoise (Eardale) Lindsey; two sisters, Betty Jo (Hayden) Kennedy and Willene (Wayne) Joslin; a special sister-in-law, Joyce Lindsey; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Freeman, Justin Hill, Will Wilson, Wayne Brown, Wade Moore, Michael Grammer, Larry Coffman and Larry Lloyd. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Bowen. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ouida Lindsey; her son, Tony Hill; a grandson, Will David Hill; three brothers, Billy, Glentis and Ronnie Lindsey; two sisters, Lopez Gilley and Patsy Easter; and one brother-in-law, Junior Gilley. Mrs. Hill was a Baptist by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, MawMaw and sister who loved her family deeply. She never spoke an ill word about anyone and had a heart of gold. Mrs. Hill enjoyed watching NASCAR and Auburn football and she loved to dance. She was a fabulous cook and in her spare time she had a desire to work, whether it was tending to her garden, sprucing up the outdoors or piddling in her home, she was always busy doing something. The family wishes to express a very special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Hill's neighbors for their unwavering friendship over the years that provided them with comfort, care and many fond memories.
